Beef Rendang
A wonderful recipe - simple yet aromatic. If desired, you can substitute the beef with other meat like chicken or mutton.
Ingredients:
- 1 kilogram beef
- 2 whole nutmeg
- 11/2 coconut (shredded)
- 2 tsp. salt
- 15 dried chilies (soak)
- For Spice 1 tsp. jintan putih
- 2 tblsp. ketumbar
- 1 piece(s) ginger
- 300 gram small onions
- 1 tsp. jintan manis
- 1 piece(s) kunyit(small)
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper

Preparation:
- Clean and cut beef into cubes.
- Shell buah pala. Pound and then squeeze the juice out.
- Blend the ingredients for spice.
- Squeeze coconut with 3 bowls of water.
- Stir fry all the ingredients and simmer it for about 2-3 hours, or until the beef is tender. Lastly, add in salt. Serve
