Beef Rendang
A wonderful recipe - simple yet aromatic. If desired, you can substitute the beef with other meat like chicken or mutton.



Ingredients:

  • 1 kilogram beef
  • 2 whole nutmeg
  • 11/2 coconut (shredded)
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 15 dried chilies (soak)
  • For Spice 1 tsp. jintan putih
  • 2 tblsp. ketumbar
  • 1 piece(s) ginger
  • 300 gram small onions
  • 1 tsp. jintan manis
  • 1 piece(s) kunyit(small)
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper

Preparation:

  1. Clean and cut beef into cubes.
  2. Shell buah pala. Pound and then squeeze the juice out.
  3. Blend the ingredients for spice.
  4. Squeeze coconut with 3 bowls of water.
  5. Stir fry all the ingredients and simmer it for about 2-3 hours, or until the beef is tender. Lastly, add in salt. Serve .
