Almond Biscuits (Chinese Style)
Remember those Chinese Almond Biscuits that melts in your mouth? With this recipe, you can make them yourself!



Ingredients:

  • 375 gram green bean flour
  • 375 gram icing suger
  • 37 gram almond powder
  • 187 gram lard
  • 1/2 tblsp. cold water
  • 1 tsp.yellow coloring
  • 1/2 tsp.almond oil

Preparation:

  1. Sift green bean flour, icing suger and almond powder together. Add in lard, water and coloring. Then add in almond oil and mix well.
  2. Roll out and cut into required shape. Bake for 1/2 hour or so at 160-170 degrees Celsius till done. Store when cool.
  3. You can get the green bean flour at any decent supermarket or Indian grocery shop (Thanks to Joseph Pany for the tip!). You can substitute lard with margarine if you wish.
