The recent death in Singapore that is said to be caused by slimming pills is a cause for concern in this part of the world. We recently read that such pill-related deaths have also taken place in China and Japan.
Our Ministry of Health has since taken numerous products containing banned substances off the shelves. Certainly the swift action of our authorities is to be lauded. However many are saying that such products should not have been on the shelves in the first place! So far we have not had reported cases of consumers in Malaysia who have taken ill after taking these products.
foodvenue.com takes this opportunity to advise our readers to be careful when trying out such products that claim to do miracles. If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.
